Country news
We manually search for and upload only the most relevant updates affecting the industry and key stakeholders: operators, affiliates, payment providers, and B2B providers.
Here you can find information on how OnlyFacts is structured: the database, content, updates, methodology, and exact definitions.
OnlyFacts is a business database for the iGaming industry, created by us at 4H Agency, a consulting company working with payment, analytics, and regulatory matters in the gambling business.
The database was founded by 4H Agency CEO Ilya Machavariani, Head of Special Projects Nadin Lakhbabi, and Head of Analytics Stanislava Yautodzyeva. By combining our consulting experience and many years of expertise in analyzing international markets, we created a product that brings fragmented industry information together in one place and turns it into a convenient working tool.
OnlyFacts is primarily focused on online gambling and is intended for companies and individuals who need to quickly understand how a specific market works: what rules apply in the country, which verticals are available, what restrictions exist, and which factors actually affect the activities of local stakeholders.
Our database will be useful to operators, providers, affiliate teams, payment solutions, consultants, aggregators, KYC services, and other companies considering entering new markets or wanting to monitor changes in countries where they already operate.
We manually search for and upload only the most relevant updates affecting the industry and key stakeholders: operators, affiliates, payment providers, and B2B providers.
We collect basic market parameters: economic data, industry structure, level of digitalization, population, and other figures that help quickly assess a country’s potential.
The most valuable layer of the database, where we share our internal market analysis, data from partners and professional contacts in different countries, as well as practical experience working in specific markets.
We systematize legislation and analyze the licensing regime for the online segment: licenses, available verticals, restrictions for operators, general tax models, and other regulatory specifics.
Frequency
Once
a week
This is the most dynamic block. We update news every Monday to help users quickly track key changes in the online gambling sector in specific jurisdictions
Frequency
Once
a month
Includes all key information on legislation and our analytics. Due to the frequency and importance of changes in this area, this content is updated once a month, on the first Monday of the month
Frequency
Once
a year
This block is updated less frequently. These are basic country parameters that change infrequently and depend on official statistics; we update this block approximately once a year
Frequency
As new information becomes available
Insider analytics includes less accessible market information received from our partners and professional contacts in different countries, so its update frequency depends on the availability of new data. At the same time, we also try to synchronize the publication of updates with the general database update – on the first Monday of the month.
We also regularly expand the geographic coverage of the database. New countries are added to OnlyFacts every two weeks, on Mondays. We add them as the analytics are ready and based on requests from you, gradually covering key online gambling markets.
If you notice that any information in the database is outdated or requires clarification, please email us at onlyfacts@4h.agency or contact us via Telegram at @SuppFacts. We pay close attention to user feedback and use it to make OnlyFacts even more accurate and useful for the industry.
All country pages in OnlyFacts are built according to a single methodology. We use the same analysis structure for each jurisdiction so that users can quickly navigate the information and compare markets.
OnlyFacts platform provides four user roles: operator, affiliate, payment provider, and B2B provider. Depending on the selected role, the way sections are displayed may change to make it easier for the user to work with the information most relevant to them. The database content remains the same; only the order of sections and the logic of their display change.
This is an analytical model that we use to obtain a comparable and logically justified estimate of the gambling market size (GGR). The methodology is intended to provide a reference point and an understanding of market scale and is recommended for use in the context of other available data, sources, and qualitative analysis of the specific market.
The calculation is based on a step-by-step assessment of the economic potential for gambling. The formula is based on determining income available for gambling (the amount of income available for gambling), based on the country’s GDP, the labor share percent of GDP (the share of wages in GDP), and the relevant population base (the working-age population share with different levels of gambling involvement). The result is adjusted by the share that the population base spends (the share of population spending on gambling, usually 3-5%, but potentially higher in mature markets). Final market size is calculated as the difference between all bets (total funds spent on gambling) and all payouts (winnings and returns to players).
The calculation results are sensitive to a number of market variables, including the actual share of gambling expenses, the level of population participation, and the gender structure of players, which may differ significantly in countries with specific religious, cultural, or social characteristics. Due to differences in approaches and the level of detail of models, the final values may differ from estimates published by other sources.
In our calculations, we rely on data from official sources that is current and available at the time of the assessment. In some cases, when the labor share of GDP is not available in national statistics, this indicator is supplemented with data from publicly available economic sources or calculated by us based on available macroeconomic parameters.
Overall, the 4H market size methodology is intended to be used as an analytical tool and reference point for obtaining a structured and comparable estimate of market scale, which should be interpreted taking into account other quantitative and qualitative factors specific to the country.

If a regulatory authority publishes industry statistics, we use data from its official materials: reports, press releases, and other publications. The methodology base may vary depending on the jurisdiction – it may be GGR, size of all stakes, deposit volume, or other indicators. The specific calculation methodology is always stated in the relevant tile
We use information from the H2 Gambling Capital website. Always GGR for the entire licensed market
We estimate market size based on publicly available sources. Information is collected through general searches using relevant key queries and recorded at the level of online segment GGR or total gambling GGR, which is also stated in the relevant tile

We identify key government authorities involved in regulating online gambling. Depending on the regulatory model, the list may differ (for example, in countries where online gambling is prohibited), but it usually includes:

We list only those legislative acts that are directly used when preparing the country material. Secondary or highly specialized acts are not usually included if their provisions do not affect the licensing regime, the main requirements for operators, or the overall regulatory status
In addition to specialized gambling legislation, we also identify general legislation that affects operators’ activities. This usually includes:

Since the OnlyFacts database is focused exclusively on online gambling, we separately indicate whether the main industry verticals are permitted in the country:
It is important to understand that the availability of a vertical does not mean that a separate license is required for each one. In some jurisdictions, several verticals may be covered by a single license (for example, online poker under an online casino license or totalizator under an online sports betting license)

Licensed – the white-market segment; gambling that is permitted and approved by the regulator, operating within the country in accordance with local regulation under a local license.
License – any type of official authorization issued by the state that allows an operator to conduct gambling activities; this may be a registration, accreditation, concession, certificate, or other similar form of authorization.

Frequency – the average number of searches for a keyword per month in the selected country. This indicator helps assess the potential traffic volume and the level of player interest in a specific game, feature, or bonus.
Keywords – a specific phrase or word that user enters into a search engine when looking for a game, bonus, casino, or gambling-related action. The query reflects the player’s intent: to install a game, find a promo code, research a rating, receive a bonus, or choose a platform.
Category – the search-volume level of a query within the market: low-frequency, medium-frequency, or high-frequency. The category shows the scale of demand and helps determine whether a query relates to a narrow niche, stable mass interest, or high-intent, high-conversion traffic.
